Modern Ford engines like the 1.0L EcoBoost and 1.1 NA (Naturally aspirated) engines require very high-torque tightening (up to 1,500 Nm) when installing crankshaft pulley bolts. These engines use stretch bolts, meaning they must be tightened with exact torque stages to avoid Engine damage, Bolt failure, and oil leaks or misalignment of timing components. The tools 5:1 gear ratio allows users to apply this high torque Safely and with control using a standard torque wrench.
This set will ensure that the crankshaft pulley bolt is removed and installed correctly every time, it is tightened in stages to get to the high torque loading that is required.
